Slightly shinier than eggshell, satin paint is often the least durable finish that should be utilized when children and pets are involved. Although a satin finish will have a greater chance of showing imperfections inherent in a wall, it will also withstand dirt and fingerprints to a much greater degree than flat or eggshell.
